Phyllis A. Davidson

OTTAWA - Phyllis A. Davidson, age 89, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday afternoon at the LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral services honoring her life will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Entombment will follow in the Shrine of Rest at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday with Eastern Star Rites at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Phyllis was born October 15, 1920 at Oneida, Illinois, a daughter of Adolph and Mary A. (Meyer) Thalmann. She married Robert K. Davidson March 10, 1946 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death October 31, 1978. She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Penny) Davidson and Danny Davidson, both of Ottawa; one brother in-law, Wilbur Bault; her grandchildren, Nicole (Arthur) Gray of Ottawa, Danielle (Darin) Furar of Mark, IL, and Michael (Janice) Davidson of Seneca; and her great grandchildren, Andrew England, Quinn Gray, and Aiden and Jacob Furar. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Phyllis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a Life Member of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was a former employee of Jordan's Hardware having worked there for over 30 years. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
