Charles A. Rausch, age 79, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, May 29th at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6th at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Torres, Larry Pratt, Johnny Guerrero, Jr., Ryan and Chad Holloway. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Guerrero, Sr,. Jesse Guerrero, Sr., Kevin and Kent Schlink.
Charles was born December 15, 1943 in Ottawa, Illinois, a son of Anthony and Irene (Bry) Rausch. He married Christina Guerrero who preceded him in death in 1995. Surviving are his grandchildren, Tiffany Rausch (Steven VeZain), Michael (Danielle) Rausch and Daniel (Shada Couch) Rausch; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Autymn VeZain, Kaylee, Michael, Makenzee and Keylin Rausch, and Kayson Bryan. He also leaves a brother-in-law, George Schlink as well as many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Michael and Charles Rausch; 2 sisters, Nancy Reynolds and Judy Schlink; and his companion, Pamela Cameron.
Charles was of the Catholic faith. He was a retired employee of LOF - Pilkington. Charles was a hard working man who enjoyed classic cars. His family was most important to him as he enjoyed his time with each one of them.
