William E. "Bill" Kiley, 67, of Ottawa died Monday, April 30, 2007 at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5th, at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Dodd of St. Columba Catholic Church officiating with full military honors following the memorial services at the funeral home. Burial of the cremains will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services. Mr. Kiley was born on August 2, 1939, in Ottawa to William J. Kiley and Helen Bayuk. He married Charlotte Ann Szott of Peru on May 21, 1960. He served in the US Navy from May 1958 to April 1964, as an aviation photographer. He was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus (third degree), American Legion Post No. 33, past coordinator of the American Legion Honor Guard and a three-year trustee. He was owner of the Kiley's Shell Station from 1970 - 1977. He was retired from Wackenhut Security at LaSalle Station, in Nuclear Security Management, after 20 years of service. He enjoyed traveling with his family to many places of interest. He is survived by his wife, two daughters; Kelly (Jon) Davis of Norway, Colleen (Bryan) Trim of Crystal Lake; a son; William D. Kiley of Sheridan; two grandchildren; Melissa Davis of Aurora and Jordan Kiley of Peru; a sister, Sharon (John) Packett of Troy, Virg.; a brother, Jerry (Barb) Kiley of LaSalle; a step-brother, Wayne Corcoran of Ottawa; a step-sister, Judy (Bob) Dubach of Monticello, Geo.; and an aunt, Theresa Bayuk Bohler of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be directed to American Legion Honor Guard, Post No. 33 or to Marquette High School.
