William B. Angel, Sr.

William B. Angel, Sr., age 74, of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, formerly of Ottawa, passed away July 31 at Ladysmith. Graveside services were 10 a.m. Monday August 4, 2008 at St. Columba Cemetery, with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Gladfelter Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. William was born March 29, 1934 at Marseilles, Illinois, a son of Byron S. and Arona (Caffee) Angel. He married Estella Farrell January 19, 1951 in Ottawa. She preceded him in death April 10, 2000. He is survived by his children, William Angel, Jr. of California, Barbara Howard of Ottawa, Eugene Angel of South Carolina and Diane Trexler of Wisconsin; and a brother, Byron Angel, Jr. He also leaves grandchildren, Shastin, Kristy and Lacey Angel, Bryca Sullivant, Richard Howard, Kelly Bauman and Micky and Ida Trexler; great-grandchildren, Jason, Abbigail and Gavin Howard, Kaitlyn and Kaylee Bauman, Ceirra Trexler, Austin Gummer and Kylinn Sullivant. He was preceded in death by one son and one grandson. Mr. Angel was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a retired steel worker.
