Virginia Lee Hite

Virginia Lee Hite, 64, of rural Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, July 23rd, at her summer home in Squaw Lake, Minn. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Reverend Brian Wangler of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in West Serena Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services. Mrs. Hite was born May 17, 1944, in Ottawa to James Howard and Dorothy (Holloway) Hayson, Sr. She was married to David Lee Hite on February 8, 1964, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Ottawa. She graduated from Ottawa Township High School with the class of 1962. She was a member of the Little Cabin of the Woods Quilting Club, active with fund raising with Camp Tuchabatchee. She enjoyed the summer cabin with her husband in Squaw Lake, Minn., and gardening and crafting. She is survived by her husband; four sons, Albert, James (Kathy) and William all of Ottawa, and Robert of Marseilles; a daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Tomsovic of Chillicothe; eleven grandchildren; a great grandson; three brothers, James Jr. and David of Ottawa and Charles (Carol) of Utica; two sisters, Georgia "Geraldine" (Raymond) Kurth and Donna Hayson of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Christine Marie in infancy. Pallbearers will be Ronald Maesar, Gary Reardon, Keith McConnell, Ward Close, Don Decker, Craig Berge and Kyle Schramm. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
