OTTAWA – Thomas John Higgins, age 59, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in Ottawa.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Gladfelter Funeral Home.
Thomas was born November 1, 1956 in Ottawa, the son of Al and Nellie (Thomas) Higgins. He had married Karla Bray. Thomas is survived by his children, Kathleen (David) Scott and Thomas Higgins Jr., all of Ottawa and Jonathan Higgins; his grandchildren, Thomas and Asia Higgins-Nino, Eric and Selena Motozapo, Alexis Soto-Higgins, Andrew and Kalyn Adams, and Miley Peters; his brothers, Al Higgins, Jr., Michael Higgins, and Stanley (Rose) Higgins, all of Ottawa; his sister, Evelyn Viner of Indiana; and his former wife, Karla Higgins of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents; three grandchildren, Mariah and Dakotah Higgins-Nino, and Damien Higgins; and one sister, Pat Eich.
Thomas was a sanitation worker for Town and Country Disposal. He also attended church at the Salvation Army. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
