OTTAWA – Shirley J. Anderson, age 78, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.
Private family services will be held. Gladfelter Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Shirley was born December 2, 1933 in Ottawa, Illinois, a daughter of Frank and Etta (Corcoran) Frisch. She married James W. Anderson at the Wedron United Methodist Church in 1953. Surviving are James, her husband of 59 years; her children, Wayne (Susan) Anderson of Dayton, Illinois, Gary (Barb) Anderson of Ottawa, Debbie (Jim) Hackler of Utica and Jeffrey Anderson of Ottawa. Also surviving are her brother, Fred Frisch of Harding, Illinois; and grandchildren Heidi Biewer and Katie Anderson. Shirley’s parents and a brother, Ronald Frisch preceded her in death.
Shirley was a member of the Wedron United Methodist Church. She was a faithful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her leisure time would often find her enjoying ballroom dancing, flower gardening, baking, cooking and sewing.
