OTTAWA - Scott Aaron Derbort, age 32, of Ottawa, passed away at 9:16 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow in Summit View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Todd Derbort, Leroy Adelphia, Zachary Kleidon, J.J. DeBernardi, Jeff Arroyo, and Tom Proctor. Scott was born November 4, 1977 at Ottawa, Illinois, a son of Dave and Neysa (Barton) Derbort. He is survived by his parents of Ottawa; a brother, Todd (Wendy) Derbort of Yucaipa, California; his grandmother, Anne Barton of Ottawa and his girlfriend, Courtney Barcomb of New York. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erving Barton, Sr. and Robert and Beverly Derbort. Scott was affiliated with St. Columba Church. He was an avid fisherman.
