Rose Marie “Mona” (Jimenez) Castillo, 60, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Peoria Illinois.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 16, 2015, at St. Columba Cemetery with Father Tony Fevlo officiating.
Mona was born on September 20, 1955 in Ottawa, the daughter of Luis M. and Leonor (Madrid) Jimenez Sr. She is survived by a brother, Luis (Wendy) Jimenez Jr. of Ottawa; and four sisters, Gloria Holcomb of Ottawa, Yolanda (Jerry) Gibson of Ottawa, Alicia (Gary) Facio of Mendota, and Tammy (Troy) Hill of Ottawa; an aunt and uncle, Arturo and Maria Velasco of Ottawa; two special friends, Mary Rita Ganiere and Theresa Allen; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son at birth; and two sisters, Juanita Telfer and Marian Sibert.
Mona was a devout Catholic who was strong in her faith. Her special interests included crafts and ceramics. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
