Robert E. Wilson, 55, of Ottawa, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. David Daniel officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson was born November 2, 1951, in Ottawa to Ollie Lee and Ruby Jane (Williams) Wilson. He was a laborer for Local 911 for many years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He is survived by his mother of Ottawa, six brothers, Roger (Jackie), and Michael both of Dayton, Kent of Marseilles, Tom of Tuscon, Ariz, Ronnie of Edenburg, Ind., Leo of Terra Haute, Ind; four sisters, Sue of Edenburg, Ind, Beverly (Robert) Thompson, Lisa Williams, Marie Padilla, all of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Brooklyn Wilson, Brandon Plotz and Kendall Wilder. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Edward Lee Wilson, his father, Ollie; a step-mother, Bulah and step-father, Marino Padilla. Pallbearers will be Roger, Michael and Kenny Wilson, Bobby Thompson, Bret and Steven Bailey. Memorials may be directed to the family.
