Reinoldas P. Pipyne, age 85, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014.
Private family services will be held. Gladfelter Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
Reinoldas was born November 30, 1928 at Birzai, Lithuania, the son of Adomas and Olga (Dagilyte) Pipyne. He married Ieva Neimanas June 11, 1955 in Chicago. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Ieva of Ottawa; his sons, Markus Pipyne and his wife Susan of Dekalb and Tomas Pipyne of Peoria and Tomas’ special friend, Christine Lancaster of Ottawa. He also leaves grandchildren, Nicholas Lancaster of Ottawa, Blake Hoffmann of Los Angeles, California and Kimberly Sigman of Fairbanks, Alaska. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alvina Sabanas-Wells, M.D.
Reinoldas proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired chemist.
