AMERICUS, KANSAS – Randy Joseph Leal, age 57, of Americus, Kansas, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, December 4th at Topeka, Kansas.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 7th at the First Presbyterian Church in Ottawa with the Reverend John W. Walker officiating. Interment with Military Rites will be held in St. Columba Cemetery. Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting with local arrangements.
Randy was born May 3, 1956 in Ottawa, a son of Joseph and Cora (Miller) Leal. Surviving are his wife, Connie of Americus; children, Brian (Deborah) Leal of Mentone, Indiana, Dustin Leal of San Diego, California, Jessica (Charles) Wright of Shabbona and Craig Leal of Leland; step children, Julie Roach of Osage City, Kansas, Jessica Parker of Burlington, Kansas, Jeffery Parker of Baldwin City, Kansas, and Justin and Jamie Parker of Americus, Kansas. He also leaves brothers, Michael (Pat) Leal, Wayne (Kathy) Leal and Kevin (Heather) Leal all of Ottawa; a sister, Patty (Jim) Myers of Ottawa; and ten grandchildren. His parents and a sister, Juanita Simmons preceded in death.
Randy proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and had been employed in the heating and cooling industry. He loved playing golf, hunting, fishing and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Diabetes Foundation.
