Paula Rita Rodriguez, 81, of Ottawa, died Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Columba Catholic Church with Rev. Ron Dodd as celebrant. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rosary at 3 p.m. and Wednesday at 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Rodriguez was born July 23, 1926, in Martindale, Texas to Peter and Catalina (Rosales) Alvarado. She married Emigdio Rodriguez in Ottawa, May 29, 1948. He died February 9, 1999. She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, Dennis of Ottawa and "Rob" of Chicago; four grandchildren; Renea Donahue, Heidi (Rob) Pickler, Dustin Carlton and Molly Mohamed; three great grandchild; and five sisters, Felicitas Vargas of Austin, Texas, Tillie Bryan of Windsor, Colo., Connie Sullivan of Joliet, Beatrice (Michael) McGovern of Plainfield, Ill. and Rita DeLaPe�a of Chicago. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Joseph Alvarado; and two sisters, Mary Cabrers and Carmen Arellano. Pallbearers will be Tim Sullivan, Ed Alvardo, Larry Rodrigeuz, Dustin Carlton, Joe Porcaro, Lewis DeLaPena and Byrd Schwartzbach. Memorials may be directed to donor's choice and Masses.
