Patricia M. Berggren

SERENA - Patricia M. "Patty" Berggren, 66, of Serena, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Father John Waugh officiating. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jarret, Jacob, Jayce, and Scott Berggren, Dalton Huftel, and Raymond Bailey. Patricia was born July 17, 1945 in Ottawa, a daughter of James Paul and Willmae (Wettengel) Rockey. She married Truman "Tim" Berggren April 4, 1964 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wedron. She is survived by her husband, Tim of Serena; her mother, Willmae Rockey of Serena; her children, Michele Goodlet, Lee (Renae) Berggren, and Kelly Huftel, all of Serena; her sister, Paula (Ray) Bailey of Ottawa; and her grandchildren, Jarret Berggren, Brandy Goodlet, Jacob Berggren, Dalton Huftel, Jayce Berggren, and Haley and Ashley Goodlet. She was preceded in death by her father. Patricia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wedron. She was a retired Food Service Supervisor for Serena Community Unit 2 School District. She also had been a beautician for over 30 years. She was also a member of Women of the Moose. She enjoyed working in the yard. Her most enjoyable times were those spent with her grandchildren.
