Patricia A. Allen, age 66, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Funeral services honoring her life will be held 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Schoon officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Private interment will be at a later date at Oakwood Memorial Park. An informal gathering celebrating her life will also be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Vittone Park in Naplate. Patricia was born October 2, 1941 at Washington, Illinois, a daughter of Howard and Elizabeth (Smith) Lynch. She married Alfred A. Allen June 24, 1971 at Omaha, Nebraska. She is survived by her husband, Alfred; children, Bryan (Linda) Winchell of Yuma, AZ, Diane (Nick) Desmond of Aurora, IL, Karen (Scott) Roudis of Morris, IL, Lucinda ( Steve) Lolling of Grand Ridge, IL, Melanie (Bill) Maskel of LaSalle, IL, and Heather (Brian) Battistelli of Ottawa, IL. She also leaves a brother, Robert Lynch and Dee of Westcliff, CO; five sisters, Vivian Bray of Carlock, IL, Carolyn Corbin of New Port Richie, FL, Linda (Jerry) Mount of Westcliff, Co, Pamela (Dennis) Rainville of Chillicothe, IL, and Debra (Tom) Goyer of New Port Ritchie, FL. 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers in infancy. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ottawa, and was also a member of the Women of the Moose. She had been employed in the deli-bakery at Kroger's in Ottawa and was manager of the Roxy Theater in Ottawa for several years. She was a Campfire Leader for many years. Her heritage was Mississippi Choctaw Indian of which she was very proud and dearly loved attending pow-wows.
