Pamela J. Mccombs

SHERIDAN - Pamela J. (Hurita) McCombs, age 57, of Sheridan, passed away at 9:39 a.m. Monday, September 20. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 23th, at 2:00 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Reverend John Walker officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Fox River Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. till service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Pamela was born February 23, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Carter and Mary (Van Hulle) Hurita. She married James G. McCombs May 29, 1976 in Chicago. She is survived by her husband, James, of Sheridan; her daughter, Brandi (James) Ostrem of Morris; two sisters, Mary (Charles) Johnson of Phillips, Wisconsin and Carol Hanson of Billings Montana; and three grandchildren, Libby, Chloe, and Ava Ostrem. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Joseph Kizman, and two sisters, Joy Occhuito and June Connors. Pamela attended First Presbyterian Church, Ottawa. She enjoyed making jewelry, gardening, and canning. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and cherished her time spent with family.
