Pam Murphy, 50, of Ottawa passed away at 8:30 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 22nd, at St. Columba Church with Father David Kipfer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. Wednesday with Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Bryan Benedetti, Mike Dougherty, Ryan Olson, John Doyle, Jean Morganflash and Bob Fernandez. Pam was born December 16, 1959, in Aurora, Illinois, a daughter of LaVerna Jaruski. She married Ray "R.J." Murphy, Jr. on June 13, 1987 at St. Columba Church. She is survived by her husband, Ray "R. J." of Ottawa; her children, Cara Marie and Joseph John "J.J." Murphy; one brother, David (Lynette) Bernasconi of Hayes, KS; and three sisters, Debra Richardson of Mendota, Michelle (Robert) Fernandez and Kathy (James) Mooneyham both of Marseilles; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Harry Hindson; one daughter, Melissa; her father in-law, Ray Murphy, Sr.; and a sister in-law, JoAnn Doyle. Pam enjoyed doing crafts and making quilts. She delighted in camping and bicycling with her children and family. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
