Norma Jean Stafford, 81, of Wedron, died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Columba Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ron Dodd officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with liturgical prayers at 6:45 p. m. Mrs. Stafford was born May 6, 1926, in Ottawa to Robert Irvin and Irene (Drury) Gordon. She married Roland Walter Stafford on June 15, 1946 at St. Columba Church in Ottawa. She formerly worked in the dining room of St. Joseph Health Resort in Wedron. She was active in TOPS for many years. She is survived by her husband, five sons, Richard (Chere) of Chicago, William (Angela) of Wedron, Gordon of San Francisco, Calif., David (Kim) of Ottawa and Douglas (Dayle) of Wedron; nine grandchildren, Scott, Jeffrey, Tiffany, Mathew, Bradley, Jessica, Megan, Ryan and Ashley; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Florence) Gordon. She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Gordon. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Memorials may be directed to the family.
