Norma Jean Hott

December 25, 1932 — October 28, 2006

Norma Jean Hott, age 73, of La Salle, formerly of Ottawa, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at La Salle Healthcare Center in La Salle. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday, November 6, at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Polly Kimson of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial of the cremains will be later in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of services. Ms. Hott was born December 25, 1932, in Ottawa, to Lester L. and Gertrude LuElla (Benwa) LeRette, Sr. She was a LPN and worked for private care for many years and had also worked in nursing homes. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, the Ottawa Senior Citizens Club, Dayton Women's Club and AARP. She is survived by three sons, Hank (Linda) Hott of Anchorage, Alaska, Les Hott of Missouri, and Jon Hott of La Salle; two daughters, Faith (Ken) Kennedy and Valerie Adams both of La Salle; a sister, Martha (Glenn) Sheedy of Streator; two brothers, Butch (Cheryl) LeRette of Ottawa and Skip (Jan) LeRette of La Salle; and her mother of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Paulson; her father; four granddaughters; and a great granddaughter. Memorials may be directed to the family.
