Milton F. Schaible

Milton F. Schaible, 94, of Ottawa, died Friday, October 27, 2006, at home. He has requested that there be no funeral or memorial services and no visitation. Cremation was accorded and burial of the cremains will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Gladfelter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Schaible was born September 20, 1912, in Manchester, Mich., to Frederick and Ida (Uhr) Schaible. He was married August 7, 1937, in Ottawa, to Mabel Louise "Mibs" Roberts. She died February 25, 2004. He came to Ottawa in 1935 as part of the team to start the Libbey-Owens-Ford Laminating Plant. He retired in 1977 after 42 years of employment. He is survived by a son, Dr. John (Julie) Schaible of Tempe, Ariz.; and a grandson, Matthew. A brother, Walter, preceded him in death.
