Mildred Helen (Hess) Geiger

OTTAWA – Mildred Geiger, 88, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tom Hess, George A. Hess Jr., Jesse Geiger, George A. Hess IV, Mark Geiger and Bill Geiger.
Mildred was born September 7, 1925 in Ottawa, the daughter of George Jacob and Edith Catherine (Cole) Hess. She married Charles William Geiger August 15, 1950 in Missouri. He preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Carl Sugg of Marion, IL, Dale Geiger of Ottawa, Gary Geiger of Bainbridge, GA, Helen Geiger of Mesquite, TX, and Ray Geiger of Jackson, MI; fourteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters and one brother.
Mildred attended the Presbyterian Church in Grand Ridge. Her hobbies included flowers and gardening. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wallace or Grand Ridge Fire Department.
