Mildred L. Fox, 94, of Ottawa, died Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Pleasant View Luther Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant View Luther Home Chapel with Chaplain Kerwin K. Sletto of Pleasant View Luther Home officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Mrs. Fox was born November 18, 1912, in Peru, Ill., to Paul and Ida (Dobberstein) Lobbins. She married Louis Thomas Fox Sr. on May 12, 1937, in Peoria, Ill. He died February 15, 1967. She worked at Owens-Illinois Glass in Streator for 25 years and traveled extensively. She is survived by a son, Eugene (Carol) Fox of Montgomery, Ill.; four grandchildren, Louis Thomas (Denise) Fox III of Houston, Texas, Sean Murry (Dalane) Fox of Niceville, Fla., Lance Eugene Fox of North Pole, Alaska, and Julie Ann Fox of Montgomery, Ill.; four great grandchildren, Evan Murry and Danielle Catharine, Emily Claire and Molly Kate Fox; and two dear friends, Helen Maunu and Mary Yerk. She was preceded in death by a son, Louis T. Fox, Jr.; three sisters, Alice Cochran-Wapnairski, Loretta Krenmyre and Clarabell Livingston; and two brothers, Floyd and Orville Lobbins-Hoagland.
