Mike & Brenda Bedeker

Mike Bedeker, age 45 and Brenda Lee Bedeker, age 45, of Ottawa, passed away 8:20 a.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Lake Havasu City, Arizona. A private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Columba Church in Ottawa with the Reverend David M. Kipfer celebrating. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 22nd at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Mike was born August 27, 1965 at Streator, Illinois, the son of James and Sally (Stangland) Bedeker. Brenda was born January 19, 1966 at Spring Valley, Illinois, a daughter of James and Donna (Kammerer) Easton. Mike and Brenda were married June 27, 1987 at St. Columba Church in Ottawa. They are survived by a daughter, Cortney Bedeker of Ottawa. Mike leaves his parents, Jim and Sally Bedeker of Morris, IL; a sister, Cynthia "Cindi" Brankin and husband Patrick of Western Springs, IL; his grandmother, Juanita Bedeker of Streator; a niece, Tara Brankin and a nephew, Michael Brankin. Mike was also the loved nephew of many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather. Brenda is survived by her parents, Jim and Donna Easton of Utica; a brother, Robert Easton and wife Lisa of Concord, NC; a sister, Dawn Reed and husband Corey of Streator; a niece, Peyton Reed; and nephews, Davin and Drew Garner. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Mike was partial owner and fleet maintenance manager for A & R Logistics, Inc. He also was co-owner of Pneutech Technologies. Brenda was involved in managing their household. The couple were avid boating enthusiasts. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
