MARSEILLES – Michelle Audra (Feller) Nelson, age 45, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 10, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa with Pastor David Ufkes officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. till service time on Saturday at the church. Gladfelter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Michelle was born July 20, 1970 in Chicago, the daughter of Reverend Robert and Elaine (Kringen) Feller. She married Kevin E. Nelson May 27, 1995 in Schaumburg, Illinois. Surviving are her husband, Kevin, of Marseilles; her children, Collin, Ryan, and Hailey, all at home; her parents, Reverend Robert and Elaine Feller of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, Steve Feller of Tucson, AZ and Todd (Lynn) Feller of Orchard Lake, MI; her in-laws, Floyd and Sharon Nelson of Serena, IL; and her brothers and sisters in-law, Eric and Sheri Nelson of Marseilles, Scott and Megan Huss of Varna, and Jason and Amber Hermann of Ottawa.
Michelle was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Ottawa. She had worked as the Executive Director of La Salle County CASA and later at the United Way. Her special interests included gardening, scrapbooking, and singing. Michelle was devoted to her family and children and treasured her time spent with them. She especially enjoyed following her children’s activities. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
