OTTAWA - Mary F. "Dolly" Nanouski, 83, of Ottawa, formerly of Naplate, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 3rd. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Reverend Philip D. Halfacre officiating. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Oakwood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be 4 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday with prayer service at 4:00 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Mrs. Nanouski was born September 14, 1927 in Ottawa, a daughter of James J. and Dorothy (Shull) Engel. She married Steve Nanouski on August 22, 1967 in Ottawa. He died July 6, 2005. Mary is survived by two sons, James (Ruth) Hill of Fort Dix, New Jersey and Daniel G. Hill of Marseilles; five daughters, Mary Ellen (Marc) Royce of Allen, Texas, Linda (John) Andriotis of Tiskilwa, June (Kevin) Steder of Marseilles, Stephanie (Thomas) Thompson of Naplate and Karen (Kent Caldwell) Shroyer of Marseilles; a step-son, Glenn (Debbie) Nanouski of Naplate; two step-daughters, Pauline (Jack Maier) Vicich and Beverly (Charlie) Harris both of Ottawa; a brother, Charles (Mary Beth) Engel of Serena; a sister, Catherine Orvis of Ottawa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Nanouski; a son, Bruce Hill; a daughter, Diana G. Boaz; a grandson, Josef J. Hill; two brothers, John and Samuel Engel; and two sisters, Joan "Marcella" James and Lucille Kelly. Mary was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She worked at Westclox, Libbey-Owens-Ford and the Ottawa Greenhouse and Garden Center. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Knights of Columbus. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
