OTTAWA – Marjorie Lorraine Janke, age 95, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Pleasantview.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Marjorie was born November 26, 1921 in Marseilles, Illinois, a daughter of William R. and Priscella (Mosley) Bell. She married Harry Spradling March 15, 1943 in Missouri. He preceded her in death June 4, 1981. She later married Willard R. Janke April 3, 1986, and he preceded her in death September 1, 2005. Marjorie is survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Charlotte O’Keath and Priscilla Farrell; a son, Harry Spradling, Jr.; three sisters, Alice Smith, Elsie Oelschlager and Elva Hanaou; and two brothers, Alex and William Bell.
Marjorie was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of Shoreline Boat Club from 1962-1971. Marjorie lived a full life filled with love of family, camping, boating and winter vacations in Florida.
