Lucy J. (Martin) Clarkson

Lucy J. Clarkson, age 88, of Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at her residence.
Private family services and entombment will be Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Shrine of Rest in Oakwood Memorial Park. Gladfelter Funeral Home is honored to assist with arrangements.
Lucy was born March 2, 1924 at Charleston, West Virginia, a daughter of Henry and Lena (Murphy) Martin. She married Lewis B. Clarkson August 31, 1943. He preceded her in death September 6, 2009. Lucy is survived by two sons, Louis Clarkson of Streator and Bill Clarkson of Huntington, AL; two daughters, Sandra Bokus of Mt. Wolf, PA and Sharon Westman of Hot Springs, AK; and one brother, William Martin of Ohio. She also leaves seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Connie Stithe.
Lucy was a homemaker and enjoyed reading in her leisure time. She dearly loved time with her family. Her most cherished moments were those spent with her grandchildren.
