Lucille M. Hepner, 86, of Ottawa, passed away December 5, 2022 at Ottawa Pavilion.
Per Lucille’s wishes, Private services and burial will take place at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Lucille was born July 12, 1936 in Ottawa, the daughter of Albert and Lillie (Etienne) Marshall. She was a beautician for many years and met her future husband, Raymond Hepner, at her shop. She married Raymond on October 20, 1956 at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa. Lucille worked in the Medical Records Department at the Ottawa Community Hospital and retired from the hospital in 1990 but continued her life full of love, kindness, and many laughs. She loved to travel, go on vacations with her family, buy gifts for others (mostly her grandchildren), collect antiques, and enjoyed painting china. Lucille kept in touch with her Marquette High School classmates and enjoyed meeting up with them once a month for lunch. More than anything, Lucille loved her family. She was a tremendous role model and someone who always prioritized her family and her faith. She loved and appreciated all of her caretakers, her nurses and aides at the Ottawa Pavilion Nursing Home, and her favorite four legged friend, Wrigley. She will be fondly remembered, and dearly missed, by all who knew her.
Lucille is survived by her children, Blake and Brenda Hepner, and grandchildren, Brittany and Brent Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Mary and Rebecca Hepner; and a brother, Ed Marshall.
