Lois L. (Nickeson) Spradling
January 23, 1927 — July 12, 2014
OTTAWA – Lois L. Spradling, age 87, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Ottawa Pavilion.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 16 th , at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Harding Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Lois was born January 23, 1927 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Dennis and Mildred Joy (Malaise) Nickeson. She married LeRoy Spradling in 1942 and they were married for 20 years. She is survived by her son, Randall (Debra) Spradling of Seneca; and a great granddaughter, Tina Edwards of Ottawa whom she raised. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; five great great grandchildren with another expected; and one step grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Miskell; and one granddaughter, Lori Schiffgens.
Lois retired from AT&T Western Electric in 1988 after 24 years of service. She dearly loved her family, particularly her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching television, The Price Is Right being one of her favorite programs. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
