Leslie G. Hougas

Leslie G. Hougas, 82, of Ottawa, passed away at his home on January 21, 2022.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care.

Leslie was born April 4, 1939, the son of Marvin and Hartha (Jacobson) Hougas.  He is survived by his son, Justin Hougas; a brother, Kenneth (Judy) Hougas, and sisters, Donna Hartshorn, Betty Pitstick and Karen Rock.  He was proceeded in death by a brother, Marvin Hougas Jr.

Leslie grew up on a farm as a kid and maintained his love of farming his whole life.  He especially liked watching the threshermen harvest.  Leslie proudly served in the Army and was a member of the American Legion.  Motorcycles was his life.  He enjoyed racing them and working on them and served as a mechanic with Leipold Motors.  In his spare time, Leslie enjoyed reading and was always looking for ways to further educate himself.  He was always willing to help and lend a hand to anyone in need.  He will be missed by his friends and family.
