Lavonne L. Sheridan

MARSEILLES – LaVonne L. Sheridan, 83, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 10, 2012 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Spilman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, La Salle. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. till service time Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Vincent and Trevor Elias, Doug Gleckler, Lindsey Olszewski, Greg Lauer and George Cimei.
LaVonne was born March 26, 1929 in Ottawa, a daughter of Thomas and Doris (Brooker) Massutti. She married Michael J. Sheridan August 9, 1971 in Huntsville AK. Surviving are her husband, Michael, of Marseilles; her children, Deborah (Eli) Koral and Pamela (George) Cimei, both of Varna, Kim (Terry) Olszewski of Oglesby, and Jill (Greg) Lauer of Columbia, IL; a sister, Betty Cioni of Hennepin; nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Mitch and Joey, and one brother, Thomas Massutti, Jr.
LaVonne was a former bookkeeper-cashier for Kroger. Her pastimes included ceramics, sewing, Bingo, and playing cards. Her most cherished pastime was spending time with her family and grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be directed to Pet Project.
