Kenneth Edward Ricci

Kenneth Edward Ricci, age 93, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 8th at the Utica Township Community Building.  Interment will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery, Utica.  Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Kenneth was born June 8, 1926 in LaSalle, Illinois, a son of Frank and Josephine (Hack) Ricci.  He married Wilma Biggs July 4, 1948.  He later married Shirley Fuller April 21, 2001 at the Wedron United Methodist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Douglas and Jeff Ricci of Ottawa; a brother, Monte (Lura) Ricci of Utica; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Ricci; a granddaughter, Tracy Jo Ricci; a brother, Frank (Mary) Ricci; and sisters, Mame Marz, Josephine Ricci and Madeline (Bob) Carrico.

Kenneth had been a member of the Wedron United Methodist Church and Residents Against a Polluted Environment.  He enjoyed playing the piano and keyboard and working with electronics.  Kenneth was always imaginative which led to many of his inventions.
