Judy Ann (Miller) Reynolds

November 4, 1943 — May 6, 2014

MATTOON – Judy Ann (Miller) Reynolds, 70, of Mattoon, departed this earth and entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 after a brief illness.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13 th at Broadway Christian Church with Brad Brown and Casey Scott officiating. Interment of her cremains will follow in Dodge Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Gladfelter Funeral Home in Ottawa is honored to assist the family with arrangements. Family and friends are invited to gather together and share a meal in celebration of Judy’s life at Broadway Christian Church following the services. Judy lived in jeans and loved comfy clothes – so please wear whatever you’re most comfortable in.

Judy was born November 4, 1943 in Mattoon, a daughter of James and Virginia (Perkins) Miller. She attended Mattoon schools and Utterback Business College. Judy had been employed at Jim Davidson Engineering Associates, and most recently in the corporate office of Rural King in Mattoon until her retirement on April 11, 2014.

Judy is survived by a son, Patrick (Debby) Reynolds of Broadlands, IL; a daughter, Pam Reynolds; a granddaughter, JayeAnne Reynolds-White; a sister, Jeanie (Gene) Swearingen all of Mattoon; a niece, Cara Kuykendall of Mattoon and four nephews, Gary (Jenny) Swearingen of Neoga, Jeff (Amy) Swearingen, Greg (Anita) Swearingen and Curt Campbell all of Mattoon; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joanna Campbell and a nephew, Gerry Swearingen.

Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her granddaughter, JayeAnne was the light of her life. Those who were fortunate to know and love her will miss her dearly.

Judy enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, reading, watching TV – QVC was a favorite, Facebook (especially the games), and Pinterest. She was fond of dogs, flowers, birds, lighthouses, candles and country music.
