Judith M. "Judy" Roberts

Judith M. "Judy" Roberts, 66, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Funeral services honoring her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jesse Gentry, Jason Jones, Randy Hunt, Joseph, Drake and Nathaniel Roberts. Honorary pallbearer will be Elijah Roberts. Judy was born February 27, 1942, in Ottawa, a daughter of John and Erie (McTague) Jones. She married Irvin E. "Bud" Roberts October 7, 1961 at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. She is survived by her husband, Irvin "Bud" Roberts; children, Anthony "Tony" (Susan) Roberts and Erik "Bubba" Roberts, all of Ottawa; a brother, Frank (Teresa) Jones of Marseilles; and a sister, Suzanne "Suzy" (Pete Moody) Gentry of Edgefield, South Carolina. She also leaves her grandchildren, Joseph, Nathaniel and Elijah Roberts of Ottawa and Drake Roberts of LaSalle. Two sons, Michael and Kristopher Roberts and a brother, John Jones preceded her in death. Judy was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She was an avid Cub fan and enjoyed crafts, cooking, baking and flowers. Most important to her was her family. Her grandchildren were her life.
