John Arthur Fowler, 64, of New Port Richey. FL, formerly of Ottawa and Chicago, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Gulfside Hospice Center at Bayonet Point in Hudson, FL. A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Ottawa First Church of the Nazarene. John was born September 12, 1947 in Ottawa, IL to Elaine Gray and Arthur "Fidge" Fowler. John was a Carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army and was also a member of the American Legion #335 in Hudson, FL. He loved to sail and fish and was a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls. John is survived by one son, Jonathan (Tammy) Fowler of Lake Stevens, WA; two grandchildren, Jacob and Tyler Fowler, both of Lake Stevens, WA; his former wife, Becky Clausen of Morongo Valley, CA; two brothers, Mark (Cathy) Fowler of Marseilles, IL, and David Fowler of Ottawa; five sisters, Barbara (Wilbur) McCauley of Louisville, KY, Kay Lynn Gama of Ottawa, Carol Geiger of Ottawa, Karen Fowler of Ottawa, and Mary Kay Wheatley of Camden, TN; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Judy Farrell, and Pam Bone; two nieces Becky McCauley and Sarah Geiger, and one nephew, Tony Fraboni.
