Jo Ann (Chipman) Campeotto

Jo Ann Campeotto, age 67, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Jo Ann was born March 5, 1945 in Malden, Missouri, the daughter of James and Vivian (Hale) Chipman.  She married Fred Filipello in Blytheville, Arkansas.  She later married Phil Campeotto September 19, 1995 at Addison, Illinois.  He preceded her in death November 5, 2005.

Surviving are her children, Karen (Joe) Granata of Savanna, IL, Kathy Filipello and friend Roger Roberts of Waterman, IL, Phil (Leah) Campeotto of Leland, IL and Jim (Beth) Campeotto of Ottawa.  She also leaves two brothers, James Chipman of Florida and Glen Crawford of Chicago; and her grandchildren, Zackery Filipello, Kaitlyn Granata, Joseph Granata, Justin Nelson, Tyler Perkins, Karaline Granata, Madison Pickrel, Mackenzie Pickrel, Dominick Campeotto and Olivia Campeotto.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jo Ann attended Ottawa First Church of the Nazarene.  She had a kind, easy going nature and loved spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.  Jo Ann could also be found shopping, going to garage sales or catching up on Facebook and Farmville in her leisure time.
