Jim "Running Dummy" Lampson

MARSEILLES – Jim “Running Dummy” Lampson, age 70, of Marseilles, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18th at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
Jim was born November 3, 1945 at Aurora, Illinois, a son of Wayne David and Audrey (Treest) Lampson. He married Denise “Dee” Schaibley September 18, 1999 in Peru, Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Dee; Daughters, Peggy Leix of Yorkville and Ann Leix of Ottawa; a granddaughter, Katelynn Leix; brothers, Dave (Charlotte) Lampson, Dennis (Donna) Lampson, Kevin (Angie) Lampson, Steve (Malinda) Lampson all of Paw Paw, and Larry (Marlene) Lampson of Marseilles and Richard (Melanie) Lampson of Ottawa; and sisters, Penny (Bob) Johnson of Marseilles and Susie Milton of Paw Paw. His parents and one brother, Tommy Bennett preceded in death.
Jim retired from Wedron Silica after 24 years of service. Jim dearly loved his family and enjoyed socializing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family would be appreciated.
