Jerry "Pooly" Pool

Jerry “Pooly” Pool, 65, of Ransom, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Morris Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be, Steven Johnson Jr., Bill Peek, Tim Antram, Jeff Spampanato, Pat Dunn and Scott Burgwald. Honorary pallbearers will be John Bohler, Joe Bohler and Steven Johnson Sr.
Jerry was born February 5, 1947 in Ottawa, a son of James and Loyce (Stock) Pool. He married Peggy Bohler October 24, 1969 in Ottawa. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Peggy, of Ransom; his children, Craig Pool of Ottawa, Eric Pool of Ransom, and Christine Pool Sibert of Marseilles; a brother, James (Linda) Pool of Ottawa; a sister, Joyce Welch of Cornell; and his grandchildren, Brady, Daniel, Aaron, and Laura Pool. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Steven Welch.
Jerry was a retired diesel mechanic and farmer. He was also the owner/operator of Custom Transport. Jerry was a certified pyrotechnician and had a passion for fireworks. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Morris Hospital Foundation.
