Jennifer K. Hunt

Jennifer K. Hunt, 55, of Ottawa, lost her battle with Chrones Disease Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Heartland Health Care in Normal. Funeral services will be held Noon Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Jennifer was born May 21, 1953 at Herrin, Illinois, a daughter of Edward and Anna (Planika) Hawkins. She married James Hunt. She is survived by a daughter, Melanie Haff of Morris; a sister, Elizabeth (Jim) Sparks of Lebanon, Indiana, a nephew, Treavor Sparks of Lebanon, Indiana; three grandchildren; and her very best friend, Sandy Hensley of Steward, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Meagan in infancy. Jennifer was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and had been employed at Libby-Owens for many years until she was forced to retire due to her illness. She was a member of the Moose lodge. Jennifer collected angels and dolls. She dearly loved movies and cats.
