MARSEILLES - Jennie M. Margherio, 89, of Marseilles died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Pleasant View. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Jennie was born June 21, 1921 in Ottawa, a daughter of Joseph and Pauline Kompanek. She married Tommy Margherio in 1951 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death December 23, 1984. She is survived by her son Joseph (Mary) Scott of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Joseph Scott of Arlington, Texas and Deanne White of Denton, Texas; and two great grandchildren, Travis and Amanda White. Jennie was a member of St. Joseph's Church of Marseilles. She was also a member of the Dayton Women's Club. She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. She could also be found actively participating in the operations of the family farm.
