OTTAWA – Jean St. Arnold, 92, of Ottawa, passed away Monday morning, June 25, 2012 at Ottawa Pavilion.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at Oakwood Memorial Park with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Entombment of her cremains will follow in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd. Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Jean was born May 13, 1920, in Naplate, to Jack and Margaret (Malise) Dubach. She is survived by a daughter in-law, Barbara A. Ross (St. Arnold) of Ottawa; a grandson, Robert (Jodi) Jones of Waynesville, MO; two great grandsons, Kyle and Kevin Jones of Waynesville, MO; a brother in-law, Jack Abernathy of Ottawa; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sons, William E., James, and Richard St. Arnold; three sisters, Anna Bailey, Rosie Abernathy and Veronica Paillai; and three brothers, John, Jake and Andy Dubach.
Jean was a retired cook in various restaurants in Ottawa. In later years, she was a home caregiver as well as a caregiver at La Salle County Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be used for a memorial at the Doris Ravlin Congregate Center, or directly to the William Edward St. Arnold Scholarship Fund at IVCC or the William Edward St. Arnold Scholarship Fund at Marquette Academy.
