Janice L. Kruse

OTTAWA - Janice L. Kruse, age 67, of Ottawa, passed away 12:35 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at St. Paul's Nursing Home, Chicago. Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m.Monday at Rowe Cemetery, Rowe, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to Noon Monday at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Janice was born December 8, 1941 in Pontiac, Illinois, a daughter of Arnold O. and Mary Bernice (Patterson) Peterson. She is survived by a son, Michael David (Valerie Church) Ahasay of Chicago; a daughter, LuAnn (Paul) Franciskovich of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Ashley and Ian Michael Franciskovich of Ottawa. She also leaves a brother, David (Pat) Peterson of Ottawa and a sister, Mary Louise Little of Elgin, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Bryan. Mrs. Kruse was a home healthcare provider in the area for 22 years. She was a charter member of the Sons of Norway and a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rowe, Illinois.
