Janet Audrey Wilkens, 76, of Ottawa, formerly of Naperville, died Tuesday morning, June 13, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Gordon Carls officiating. Entombment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Wilkens was born June 10, 1930 in Chicago to George and Audrey (Regnier) Hagelberg. She married Donald Wilkens on June 13, 1953, in Chicago. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Deborah K. Simpson and Cheryl R. (Guy) White both of Ottawa; and a son, Donald H. (Denise) Wilkens of Mansfield, Texas; six grandchildren, Amy R. Castro, Michelle K. Colletti and Salvador V. Castro; Austin R. Wilkens Jeremy C. Swiatek, Zackery T. White; three great grandchildren, Michael R. and, Giavanna R. Colletti and Alexander J. Castro. Her parents preceded her in death. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Foundation.
