Janet Grace (Finch) Clouse

OTTAWA – Janet Grace Clouse, age 72, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Pleasant View.
A Memorial Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at St. Columba Church with Rev. Joseph P. Donton celebrating. Inurnment will follow in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home.
Janet was born September 8, 1940 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, a daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Nellis) Finch. She married Phil Clouse May 27, 1961 at St. Petronille Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Surviving are her husband, Phil of Ottawa; sons, David Lee (Leigh) Clouse of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and James McArthur Clouse of Wedron; and grandchildren, Brendon, Sophia and Rory Clouse. She also leaves a brother, Robert Finch of Wisconsin; and sisters, Elizabeth Jensen of Davenport, Iowa, Mary Jo Gapp and Margaret Finch both of Chicago, Polly Goldberg of Salem, Wisconsin and Kay Schleyer of Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Janet was a member of St. Columba Church. She retired as Executive Vice President of the Mesirow Insurance Company in Chicago. She enjoyed cooking, reading and participating in a neighborhood Bible Study. She treasured time spent with her family. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
