Irene Smith

Irene Smith, 84, of Ottawa, died Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Johnson, of Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church officiating. Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the. Mrs. Smith was born February 8, 1923 in Tonica to Lloyd and Ruth (McLaughlin) Sage. She married Eugene Smith. She was employed by Ottawa Greenhouse and Ramada Inn. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. She is survived by four daughters, Karen Rosencrans of Ottawa, Mary Lee (William) Wawerski of Greenville, Tenn., Ruth Ann (Cecil) Leeper of Eufaula, Okla., Connie (Charles) Phillips of Elizabethtown, Pa.; fourteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jimmy Easton. Memorials may be directed to donor's choice.
