Harry “Hap” A. Halliday, age 77, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at which time Military Honors by the Ottawa American Legion Post 33 will be performed on Thursday, September 29th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.

Harry was born December 4, 1944 in Ottawa, Illinois, the son of Harry and Bertha (Halterman) Halliday. He married Cindy L. Charbonneau September 18, 1965 in Ottawa. She preceded him in death January 20, 2017. Hap is survived by a daughter, Cassandra (Mark) Thompson of Ottawa; granddaughter, Christine Thompson; great-grandson, Knox Hatala; and a sister, Gayleen (Gary) Tabor of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Cindy.

Hap proudly served his country in the US Army and retired as a supervisor at Burns Machine. He enjoyed travel, particularly to Florida with his wife. Leisure time would also find him fishing or working on cars.
