Evelyn Cora Buehler, 86, of Kankakee, formerly of Ottawa, died Thursday, January 4, 2007 in Kakankee. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Curt Boyer of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kankakee, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of services. Mrs. Buehler was born May 15, 1920, in Beijou, Minnesota, to Barney and Sarah (Moen) Syverson. She married Arthur John Buehler on October 14, 1938 in Ottawa. He died June 14, 1983. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is survived by two daughters, Judith (Charles) Love of Kankakee and Julie (Paul) Strehl of Tonica; seven grandchildren, Murry, Mark and Matthew Love and Sarah Fuchs and Lauren, Brianna and Emily Strehl; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Frederick; a daughter, Rebecca Rae Buehler; six brothers, George, Ray, Ralph, Archie, Milton and Vernon Syverson; and two sisters, Ella Krueger and Bernyce Bumgarner. Pallbearers will be two sons-in-law,Charles Love and Paul Strehl, grandsons Murry & Matthew Love, grandson-in-law, Derek Fuchs and nephews, Jerry and James Rice. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church, Ottawa or St.Paul's Lutheran Church, Kankakee.
