Eric D. Alonzo

Eric D. Alonzo, age 47, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Memorial services will be Saturday, June 18, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ottawa with Charles Dillard officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, June 18, from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. with services at 3:00 p.m..  Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Eric was born November 9, 1968 in Quincy, Illinois, a son of Albert and Barbara (Lisenbee) Alonzo.  He married Vicki Wrobleski December 17, 1988 in Peru, Illinois.  Eric is survived by his wife, Vicki of Ottawa; children, James (Tara) Alonzo and Kylie Alonzo all of LaSalle; his mother, Barbara Alonzo of Ottawa; a sister, Traci Alonzo of Ottawa as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a nephew.  He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Alonzo; and grandparents, Maurilio and Josephine Alonzo and James and Garnet Lisenbee.

Eric was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  He loved teaching others about the Bible.  His leisure time would be spent enjoying music, fishing and nature.  Eric was also an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed watching them on T.V. and listening to them on the radio.  He especially loved time with his family and his dog, Jewel.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
