OTTAWA - Elma L. Heminover, 93, of Ottawa passed away Monday, April 18, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22nd, at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Reverend Peter Brick and Reverend Eugene Owsley officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Lester Burrows, David Bogren, Mark Hetelle, Wayne and Michael Daugherty, and Glenn Heminover, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Heminover and Seth and Sean Daugherty. Elma was born January 3, 1918 in Ottawa, a daughter of Peter and Mary (Niehaus) Carrier. She married Oscar Heminover June 12, 1948 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death May 19, 1976. She is survived by her children, Sue Daugherty of Ottawa and Ray (Joyce) Heminover of Henryetta, OK; a brother, George (Mary) Carrier of Mountain Home, AK; two sisters, Loretta Magelli of Ottawa and Lillian Roether of Dixon; two grandchildren, Michael and Melissa Heminover; two step-grandchildren, Wayne and Michael (Tonya) Daugherty; and five great grandchildren, Samantha, Seth, Sean, Shay and Cora Daugherty. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, William, and Richard. Elma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ottawa. Her spare time was enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. Her most cherished time was that spent with her family and grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
