Ellen L. Dimmick

Ellen L. Dimmick, 80, of Ottawa died Friday, May 12, 2006 at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Monday until time of services. Mrs. Dimmick was born November 5, 1925, in Raynham, Mass to John and Margaret E. (Ham) Niles. She was married on June 9, 1960, in Ottawa; to Carl Dimmick, Sr. He died October 21, 1975. She was the former owner of Courtesy Cab of Ottawa. She retired from Mason's Department Store in the security department. She is survived by a son, Carl Jr. (Janet) of Ottawa, a daughter, Dana (Scott) Heywood of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Amanda Brandis, Ashley Cavanaugh and Andrea Clepper; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Mervyn Niles of Richmond, Virginia, Eldon M. (Annette) Niles, Sr., of Ottawa, Clyde (Joan) Niles of Lakeville, Mass; two sisters, Joan Breault and Ethelyn Bowling, both of New Bedford, Mass. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Anderson; two sisters, Lucille Walsh and Madaline Masse and a brother, Herbert Niles. Memorials may be directed to the family.
